What role do you see Black people playing in dismantling white supremacy & intersecting forms of oppression?

When I was in University, we were taught about W.E.B. DuBois and the concept of The Talented Tenth. The talented Tenth was presented to us as DuBois' concept that; it is the responsibility of educated African American individuals to foster social change and uplift in their own communities. My University, Loyola Marymount, instilled me with a tireless mission to BE THAT; to become a member of the proverbial Talented Tenth, so I see black people standing up as the talented tenth, but, let's make it the talented 1.5 billionth. I believe in black community leaders from all over America and the world banning together to hold conversations that discuss action plans with global leaders to create change. I believe that allies also need to be included in these conversations to really rebuild in a positive and inclusive direction.

We dismantle white supremacy, not by getting angry, frustrated and shutting down, but instead... walking in and fully owning our power. When you have taken the time to get to know yourself, to educate yourself spiritually and worldly, you become confident enough to lead from an authentically authoritative positive of power.

The racial injustice that has been done in America is deeper than any one human being can fix, but as a human collective over a period of time we can work together to fix generational curses and rise up together. We need to protect one another, create generational wealth, learn to invest, share with each other, and grow with one another. 2022 is really all about the power of community and the U in STUK stands for UNITY. It’s time to come together!

Power to the people!
