What the world is calling out for

Have you stopped for a moment to breathe lately? Have you been feeling particularly low and unable to do much? Have you been struggling?

Unsure of whether to label this as good news or bad, but you aren’t alone.

There have been so many more instances of depression, anxiety and deteriorating mental health these days. Whether it’s to do with the pandemic, or the pandemic plus our ever changing fast paced lifestyle, one cannot tell for sure. But it is definitely a sum of everything that has been going on.

Now more than ever, we are in urgent need of kindness and compassion. To do good for people that you know and ones that you don’t.

Small, simple acts of kindness can go a long way for someone who hasn’t seen a shed of hope lately. At times, it can be the one thing that makes them stay, and not give up their life. These tiny actions will only take a couple minutes for you, but it could turn their entire day around; perhaps even their perspective of their surroundings.

What do these acts look like?

A simple text message appreciating them or asking how they are, a small gesture like bringing them candy or anything else that they like, a hug, a smile, a word of gratitude- there are a million ways of lighting up someone’s day.

While we talk of what we can do for others, let’s not forget that one can only pour another’s cup if their own is full to begin with. Most often, the hardest person to be generous towards can be our own selves.

Being kind to yourself means allowing yourself time to breathe, and giving yourself ways to cope. It also means forgiveness for the biggest of errors to the tiniest of faults because you are always growing and always learning.

At times, what we need is an outlet for releasing all that stress and anxiety.

STUK Designs provides many different ways to help you get through. We understand what it feels to be in a position of struggle and make sure to include different resources that each unique individual can utilize to get through.
