New Year- Better Us

STUK Team Updates (text and video update)

Hey STUK Community,

This past year was so crazy, hectic, happy, sad, calm, stressful.. lol it is safe to say that we experienced all the feels. As a team we experienced so many transitions, pivots, pitfalls, highs and lows. Some things in 2021 went as planned and some did not.

STUK designs is a highly missioned focused company and we have had so many team transitions. When it was initially created STUK was intended to evolve WITH us. As we have grown, so has STUK. It has had many evolutions over the years and many powerful women have graced our team with their presence. Each team member has helped us to create what is now such a solid community and we are beyond thankful for the time, vision, hard work, and impact each woman has put into the legacy of STUK. Mid 2022 we had two team members that ended up stepping away to their own business journey’s. This was definitely an unexpected change, it was a hard pivot for us to come back from right before the launch of our first campaign and film, but we rolled with the punches.

I think it took about half a year to feel stabilized again, but I am so glad our team is in such a positive space. Tazeen, STUK’s BLOG/Podcast Manager (out of Mumbai, India) and Madelyn, STUK’d Partnerships Manager (out of Indiana USA) both actually ended up finding STUK on their own. The universe saw fit to bring together what is now the STUK team and we couldn’t feel more blessed. Tazeen initially reached out after reading the STUK Blog and volunteered to contribute. She became so important to the voice of STUK, that she eventually became a full time team member.

Madelyn connected to STUK through and organization she was interning for during the time called, I Am That Girl. I Am That Girl reached out to us for and interview and Madelyn conducted it flawlessly. Immediately she and I hit it off and couldn’t not stop talking about self love, passion, change, advocacy, travel, leadership and empowering the lives of girls. About a year after that Madelyn also joined our team.

We are so blessed to now have such an aligned team. I think last year taught us to appreciate and fall in love with the unexpected. It taught us to stay calm when we could not see the full picture and it was a testament to our faith. We each had to have so much faith in the vision of STUK beyond what we could see in the physical world. We had to keep the dream alive and held each other accountable, supported and lifted each other up when, inevitably, we all had some low days along the journey.

Now, here we are 2022! Wow!

We decided to set resolutions as a team! What’s interesting about new year goals is that often as determined as we are at the beginning of the year, all that spirit wears off halfway through. It could be because sometimes, the goals we set are too unrealistic, or that we forget the reason as to why we made those resolutions in the first place.

Hence, it is important to remind ourselves of the direction we want our lives to follow, and what version of ourselves we wish to become.

Get into our resolutions! We Love you and we can’t wait to grow with you, evolve with you, and spread more love in 2022!

"My resolution is to Lovingly flow with my work in complete ease. I want to respect and honor how I work best and embrace my year of yes, by not being afraid to say no.

For too long hustle culture has crippled beautiful souls and society into collective burnout. I want to add more flow and less hustle to my year.

I aim to align... THEN hustle, and take aligned inspired action that feels easy, fun, blissful, and free. When I add more ease into my work, more opportunities come, more connections arrive, and a stronger and more authentic community is built on the foundation of Loving kindness."

Personally, resolutions are not sustainable for my lifestyle. I tend to grapple with this concept every year as the ball drops on the television, wondering how I’m going to level up and make changes to my goals. However, this year, I decided to shape this concept into one that works better for me: a 2022 theme and 3 manifestations that I find will carry into every aspect I am trying to level up in. rather than setting specific goals, I know the huge milestones I’m trying to reach. With these 3 manifestations, I can apply them to every large milestone in my life by shaping the way I will feel. Emotions and feelings will guide me through this year. Let me show you how!

I chose the theme RELENTLESS for 2022. The past few months I have felt like I was in a huge rut physically, mentally, creatively, and in my productivity. I had very little energy, and I think I needed to take the time to hibernate in both mind and body. As 2021 came to a close, I got a sudden burst of energy and knew it was time to chase after my dreams relentlessly. So I’m choosing to ask myself this question every day: What goal will I choose to be relentless with today?

After pondering on this question with a journal entry, I’m going to reflect on my 3 manifestations to remind myself how to apply these emotions and feelings to my goal of the day:

  1. I am living in my dream body. I feel energetic, lean, and stronger than ever. I am following a consistent routine and I’m so motivated to grow in the gym. (Physically pushing myself beyond my limits is one of my major goals this year, and I know I can apply this manifestation to any form of movement I take on that day).

  2. I feel so worthy and confident in myself. I feel beautiful in my unique look and secure in myself. I do not compare myself to others and I know I am capable of winning and achieving. I know I am extraordinary and I act accordingly. (I am taking on many endeavors this year that involve a lot of potential comparison. I want to be sure that I am grounded in my unique looks and abilities to thrive).

  3. I am growing in my intellectual, spiritual, and emotional self every day. I am always reading new things and studying scripture. I leave quiet time for myself to calm my mind and be one with my heart and thoughts. (Starting my day with meditation and prayer is so important to me, and it’s something I want to grow further this year).

If you also become overwhelmed by the word “resolutions”, know you’re not alone. I hope this technique will help you as you plan for an excellent and prosperous 2022! Peace and blessings!”

“As someone who is constantly thinking about the next step, I spend a lot of time living in the future rather than being present. The worry of what is to come, the plans on how to steer through, and general thoughts about the future is enough to overwhelm anyone.

This is something I have been working to improve and so, this year my goal is to practice mindfulness in everything- being present with whatever I’m doing in that moment.

As much as organizing and planning your life is important, which I do thoroughly, I have realized it is equally essential to be mindfulness of the things we do. It helps to keep the chaos out and maintain the balance.

Taking one step at a time, being mindful of each step, and staying grounded and balanced is my focus moving forward.”

As we move through this new year, let us remain centered in our purpose, appreciate our efforts, practice self-forgiveness, and truly fall in love with ourselves.

And as always, STUK Designs is here to walk with you through every step of your journey and provide you with resources to guide and inspire you. We got your back, and we know you got ours!
