Creative Block + Solution: A Poem

How to find creativity:

“You need not leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. You need not even listen, simply wait, just learn to become quiet, and still, and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked. It has no choice; it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.” - Kafka

Alone time can allow creativity to flourish:

“The mind is sharper and keener in seclusion and uninterrupted solitude. Originality thrives in seclusion free of outside influences beating upon us to cripple the creative mind. Be alone—that is the secret of invention: be alone, that is when ideas are born.”

The brain feels crowded. Too full.

Tons of content overflowing…

Yet…

Limited expression.

How can it escape?

Make its way out?

Circular thought patterns…

Beginning somewhere and ending in…

Nothing.

How to move beyond?

Thoughts, questions, limited answers…

But wait…

The answers are always within.

Time is running out?

In a whirlpool of idle…

Trivial…

Thought.

Silence.

Epiphany.

Light streams in and thoughts untangle.

The confusion detangles.

I breathe.
